Active Light

The Active optical Network unit is mainly used in the integration of three networks, its integrated CATV full band RF output, high-quality VoIP audio, three-layer routing mode, wireless access and other functions, easy to achieve the triple-Network fusion device access.

Passive light

Passive ONU (Optical Network unit) is a user side device of gepon (Gigabit Passive optical network) system, which is used to terminate the business from Olt (optical line terminals) via Epon (passive optical network). With Olt, ONU can provide a wide range of broadband services to connected users. such as internet surfing, VoIP, HDTV, videoconference and other business. As a user side device of FTTX application, ONU is a high bandwidth and high cost-effective terminal equipment for the transition from "copper cable era" to "optical fiber age". GEPON ONU, as the ultimate solution for users ' wired access, plays an important role in the whole network construction of NGN (Next Generation Network).

UTStarcom ONU 1001i is a cost-effective user terminal for Gepon systems. Designed for home users and SOHO users, it provides gigabit-rate broadband connectivity for user gateways and/or PCs. ONU 1001i provides a 1-way 1000base-tethernet network for data and IPTV video services, and onu1001i can be configured and managed remotely by the UTStarcom BBS series Light Path Terminals (OLT).

The ONU 1001i uplink is connected to the Central Bureau (CO) via the Gepon port, which provides a 1 Gigabit etherenet network port for individual users or Soho users. As a FTTx future solution, ONU 1001i delivers powerful voice, high-speed data and video services through a single fiber gepon.
